<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the efficiency of document browsing operation of users when document registration is performed by a document registration system. <P>SOLUTION: At the time of the document registration in a compound machine, designation of a URL notifying function and selection of an arbitrary mail address to be a URL notification place are performed, that content is described in a scan job file and are transmitted to a documentation management system together with a document. In the documentation management system, when the document and a scan job are transmitted to an document storage application from the compound machine, when there is designation of the URL notifying function in the scan job after received document registration, a character string of URL format is described in the text of electronic mail wherein a document ID and directions of execution of a Web application for browsing a document in the documentation management system via the Internet from a Web browser are combined, and processing of transmitting the electronic mail to the designated mail address is performed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
