<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting a tilt amount of a medium simultaneously by using a sensor for detecting the arrival of the leading end of the recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: In the image forming apparatus, an electrostatic latent image is formed by applying laser beams modulated in accordance with original image data input from the outer part onto a uniformly charged photoreceptor, thereafter, toner is supplied to the electrostatic latent image, thereby, a toner image is formed on the photoreceptor, subsequently, the toner image is transferred to the recording medium conveyed from a recording medium supply part and an image is formed on the recording medium. Therein, a photoelectric sensor array which has a plurality of photoelectric sensors arranged in a column on the upstream of a transfer part and is capable of sequentially reading respective sensor outputs is located vertically to the conveyance direction of recording medium and a means for determining writing timing which determines the timing of writing the image to the recording medium by reading the sensor output is disposed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
