<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the rolling up of a collided object by a front wheel from occurring when a vehicle changes the direction (a right/left turn) by developing an air bag to the lower side of a front bumper. <P>SOLUTION: This rolling-up preventing device is equipped with the air bag 3 which can be developed to the lower side of the front bumper 2, and a control means 7 which makes the air bag 3 develop by operating an inflator 6 from information obtained by a vehicle speed sensor 5 which detects a traveling speed, and an impact sensor 4 which detects an impact in the longitudinal direction of the vehicle. The operating condition of the inflator 6 is that the detected value of the vehicle speed sensor 5 stays in a pre-determined traveling speed range, and also, the detected value of the impact sensor 4 has exceeded a pre-determined impact lower limit value under the state that the gear position of a transmission is not at the reverse position or under the state that a hazard lamp is not flickering. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
