<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a toroidal type continuously variable transmission capable of improving a lubricating property of high-load area on an outer ring of a power roller. <P>SOLUTION: In this toroidal type continuously variable transmission, an oil passage 104 is formed on a displacement shaft 23 in a state of being approximately radially penetrating through the displacement shaft 23 for supplying a lubricant to an outer ring 28 of a thrust ball bearing 24, an oil discharge opening of the oil passage 104 is directed to the direction opposite to the rotating direction R of the power roller 11 at a prescribed angle α of less than 90 degrees with respect to a tilt-rotating shaft O' direction of a trunnion 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
