<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress decentering between an injector cup provided in a fuel supply pipe and the rear end of a fuel injection valve, in a state where the fuel injection valve is inserted with the fore-end first into a fitting hole provided in a cylinder head or an intake air passage and pressed from the rear end side by the fuel supply pipe. <P>SOLUTION: The mounting structure comprises the fuel injection valve 1 having a stepped column part with its diameter decreasing toward the distal end in the axial direction, a fitting hole 18 provided in the cylinder head 5 or the intake air passage 7 of an internal combustion engine, and a ring member 20 seating coaxially with the fuel injection valve 1 on the fitting hole 18 wall surface, opposing a shoulder portion 23 connecting a small diameter part and a large diameter part of the stepped column part. The ring member 20 contacts the fuel injection valve 1 with its curved surface 26, the curved surface 26, provided on the inner circumferential side of the ring member 20, having an arc-shaped cross section and taperedly spreading toward the rear end side in the axial direction of the fuel injection valve 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
