<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring plant capable of highly sensitively sensing an endocrine-disrupting chemical which exists in the environment in an extremely small amount, to provide a DNA used in production of the same, and to provide an expression vector. <P>SOLUTION: A transformant plant is transformed by an expression vector equipped with a first structure and a second structure, senses the endocrine-disrupting chemical which penetrates into the plant, and expresses a reporter gene, wherein the first structure comprises a recombinant transcription factor encoding sequence composed of a DNA binding region, a ligand binding region of an endocrine-disrupting chemical receptor of fishes, and a transcription activating region arranged on a downstream side of a promotor sequence, and further comprises a terminator sequence, and the second structure has a sequence of the reporter gene, so as to make transcription of the reporter gene started in a cell by a complex of the endocrine-disrupting chemical and a translation product of the first structure, and expresses the gene in the cell. Therefore, the transformant plant is useful as the monitoring plant of the endocrine-disrupting chemical. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
