<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To synchronize serial communication without increasing the number of signal lines except a clock signal line and a data signal line. <P>SOLUTION: When serial communication is carried out between a device body 100 which supplies a clock (CLK) signal 202 and a command (CMD) signal 203 and an external device 20b which supplies a status (STS) signal 204 to the device body in synchronism with the CLK signal, the device body varies the level of the CMD signal to give notice of the start of communication and the external device detects variation in level of a CMD interruption signal 205 branched from the CMD signal to judge the start of the communication. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
