PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a biodegradable resin composition suitable for forming a seal having excellent softness, openability, sealability and moldability and a seal produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The aliphatic or aromatic polyester composition is composed of (A) 99.95-95 wt.% aliphatic or aromatic polyester composed of an acid component consisting of (a1) 20-95 mol% aliphatic or alicyclic dicarboxylic acid component and (a2) 80-5 mol% aromatic dicarboxylic acid component and (a3) an aliphatic or alicyclic dihydroxy compound component and (B) 0.05-5 wt.% polybutylene terephthalate.
