PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a retardation film that has excellent heat resistance, moldability, etc., exhibits low birefringence and is formed from a polycarbonate resin. SOLUTION: The retardation film is formed from a specific aromatic polycarbonate copolymer comprising a repeating unit (A) derived from a 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane produced by reaction of a 6,6'-dihydroxy-3,3,3',3'-tetramethyl-1,1'-spiroindane, one or more kinds of other dihydric phenol compounds, a terminator and a carbonate precursor and a repeating unit (B) derived from one or more kinds of dihydric phenol compounds in the molar ratio of (A):(B)=50:50-99:1.
