PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a fluorine-containing vinyl ether compound useful as a raw material for a fluorine-containing resin from an inexpensive and easily available raw material. SOLUTION: This method for producing the fluorine-containing vinyl ether compound involves a step for fluorinating a compound represented by formula (I-1) or formula (I-2) [wherein, R is a linear, branched or cyclic alkyl group which may contain a substituent and an unsaturated bond; X<SB>11</SB>is a halogen atom except fluorine atom; X<SB>12</SB>, X<SB>13</SB>and X<SB>14</SB>are each independently a halogen atom; and X<SB>21</SB>, X<SB>22</SB>and X<SB>23</SB>are each independently a halogen atom].
