PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color conversion definition generating device for generating color conversion definition to suppress the useless usage of color materials other than the color of K in reproducing an original with the use of an output device, which forms an image with the plurality of kinds of color materials including the color material of K, and at the same time, to keep image quality in the image to be reproduced, and to provide a color conversion definition generating program for operating a computer as the color conversion definition generating device. SOLUTION: The device comprises a color conversion definition generating part 510 for defining conversion relation concerning an area which includes a prescribed range in a gray area in an RGB color space; and a K-version replacement processing part 521 for re-defining the conversion relation concerning an area within the prescribed range by associating color expression in the area within the prescribed range with color expression by the component of the color of K in an CMYK color space.
