PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vacuum cleaner of which the manufacture cost is suppressed. SOLUTION: A power supply cord 23 is provided with a switch 13 for turning power supply to a motor-driven blower 3 ON/OFF, and a switch receiving part 63 to which the switch 13 can be freely detachably attached is provided on the holding part 62 of a grip tube part 7 provided on an extension tube. Thus, since there is no need of arranging a complicated mechanism of an energizing part for electrically connecting the switch 13 and the motor-driven blower 3 or the like inside the extension tube attachable and detachable to/from a cleaner main body 2, constitution is simplified and the manufacture cost is suppressed.
