PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent rattling of a resistor and to suppress the deposition of residual culms, grass, soil, etc., on the resistor when the resistor for preventing a dashing phenomenon is installed. SOLUTION: A walking type power tiller 1 is obtained by forming an extension part 3a extended to the rear lower side in a transmission case 3 supporting wheels 2 and axially supporting the tillage tine shaft 8 at the tip of the extension part 3a. When the resistor 12 entering soil and applying resistance to the traveling of the machine body is provided in the extension part 3a of the transmission case 3, a base part (bracket 16) of the resistor 12 is fixed to the rear of the extension part 3a in a state of sandwiching the extension part 3a and bearing holders 15 provided on both the right and the left sides of the extension part 3a.
