<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a network composite machine system in which connection between an installed network composite machine and each terminalis confirmed in a short period of time even when many terminals exist. <P>SOLUTION: When a connection confirmation test of a personal computer is instructed, after a UDP/IP PC connection confirmation test packet is broadcast toward all personal computers, a monitoring timer is started (steps 102, 103). Upon the receipt of an HTTP POST Method from the personal computer, an IP address and a host name of the received personal computer are stored (step 105) and when the monitoring timer is counted up, a list of IP addresses and host names of the personal computers whose connection is confirmed is displayed on a display section of the network composite machine (step 107).
