<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a packed food, by which a separated rice texture having not been obtained can sufficiently be obtained in a processed food produced from rice as a raw material and having the separated rice texture, such as fried rice, pilau, or dry curry. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing the packed food is characterized by immersing rice of raw material in water, draining the rice, frying the drained rice together with a fat or fatty oil to adjust the water content to 15 to 20%, charging the water content-adjusted rice of raw material into a container together with water and a seasoning, and then thermally sterilizing the charged mixture. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
