<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To to detect a magnetic pole position without a magnetic pole position sensor even in a winding field-type synchronous machine that does not have electrical salient polarity. <P>SOLUTION: A magnetic pole position detecting device for winding a field-type synchronous machines is provided with an alternating signal generator 1 that injects a desired alternating voltage Vqh (or alternating current) into an armature winding; a field current sensor 5 that detects the field current If of a synchronous machine 4 (or a field voltage sensor that detects the terminal voltage of a field winding); and a magnetic pole position detector 6 that detects the magnetic pole position θ of the synchronous machine, utilizing the component of the same frequency as the injected alternating voltage Vqh (or alternating current), contained in the field current If (or the field voltage) detected by the field current sensor 5 (or the field voltage sensor). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
