PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-phase magneto generator which can suppress the heat generation of the tip of a core salient pole and improve the generation efficiency by reducing the AC short circuit magnetic flux at nonfacing thereby reducing eddy current loss, and further can greatly increase the generated output by increasing the effective magnetic flux at facing. SOLUTION: A rare earth magnet 13 is counterposed in stripped state to the tip 27 of a core salient pole. The face 13a on the core side of the rare earth magnet 13 is sectioned into a midsection 13b in its rotational direction and two ends 13c and 13d catching the midsection 13b. The midsection 13b is made in the shape of concave R that is roughly concentric with the center of rotation. Each end 13c and 13d is made into a plane that is chamfered by a specified angleθfrom the plane 13a in the case where it is supposed that the face 13a on the core side of the rare earth magnet 13 is a plane.
