PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent changes from being transmitted to the other parts relating to a belt member, by absorbing, regardless of the degree of acceleration, a load change relating to the belt member and a speed change caused by the load change. SOLUTION: A belt drive device moves an endless belt 31, which is stretched around a plurality of rollers 32 and 33 in addition to a drive roller 34, at a prescribed speed in a prescribed direction by the drive roller. In the belt drive device, the drive roller 34 is disposed in close contact with a load changing main section N2 of the endless belt.
