PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus surely realizing the focus set of a lens. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1 is equipped with an imaging device 3, the lens 11 for forming an image on the imaging device, a lens holder 12 holding the lens, and a focusing member 13 equipped with an engaging part capable of relatively moving the lens holder in the optical axis direction of the lens and also abutting on a cam member 30 so as to move continuously in the optical axis direction by the driving of the cam member 30. The imaging apparatus 1 is equipped with a setting means 51 driving the cam member 30 to a position where the lens 11 is focused based on output from the imaging device 3 and setting a cam usable range at the time of photographing with such a position as reference.
