PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tilt controller capable of optimizing reproducing signal quality without greatly changing the configuration of a conventional optical disk device. SOLUTION: A tracking error signal generation means 5 for generating a tracking error signal by a phase difference method is included. A noise component detection means 1 for detecting the noise component of the tracking error signal is included. A tilt mechanism control means 2 for optimally correcting relative angles (tilts) of an optical disk 11 and an optical pickup 12 by controlling a tilt mechanism 16 based on the driving of a tilt motor 15 so that the noise component of the tracking error signal detected by the noise component detection means 1 is minimized is included.
