PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thin paper for thermosensitive stencil printing base paper, comprising 100% polyester fiber, having good laminating processibility with a thermoplastic resin film, excellent in image clarity, and causing little void. SOLUTION: The polyester fiber thin paper for thermosensitive stencil printiong base paper comprises polyethylene terephthalate-based polyester staple A having 0.01-0.6 dtex single fiber fineness and 0.01-0.05 birefringent which polyester is copolymerized with 2-6 mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid, and polyethylene terephthalate-based undrawn polyester staple B having 0.5-1.5 dtex single fiber fineness and 0.005-0.02 birefringent which polyester is copolymerized with 2-6 mol% 5-sodium sulfoisophthalic acid.
