PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an unsaturated polyester resin composition for artificial marble which emits significantly reduced amount of styrene and all the monomers, is excellent in heat resistance (yellowing), impact resistance and appearance and gives a high quality impression and a laminate of the resin composition. SOLUTION: The unsaturated polyester resin composition for artificial marble comprises an unsaturated polyester resin, a metal soap and an inorganic filler. The unsaturated polyester resin consists of 55-75 mass% of the unsaturated polyester and 25-45 mass% of a polymerizable monomer. A monomer with a boiling point of lower than 120°C accounts for 0-20 mass% of 100 mass% of the unsaturated polyester. The polymerizable monomer comprises 45-95 mass% of an alkyl-substituted styrenic monomer of 100 mass% of the total monomer components and 5-55 mass% of a (meth)acrylate monomer with a molecular weight of not greater than 150 of the total monomer components to 100 mass% of the total monomer components. The metal soap indispensably contains a cobalt salt. The total metal component accounts for 0.001-0.1 mass% of 100 mass% of the unsaturated polyester.
