PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide coated paper for printing carrying out high-speed coating by a blade coating method and having high whiteness and good printing suitability and to provide a method for producing the coated paper for printing. SOLUTION: The method for producing the coated paper for printing comprises coating at least one surface of base paper with a coating liquid at a coating speed of≥1,000 m/min using a blade coater. Calcium carbonate is contained in an amount of≥20 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole pigment. Furthermore, at least the one surface of base paper is coated with the coating liquid prepared by compounding a stilbene derivative having 6 sulfonate groups in an amount of 0.2-1.5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole pigment and polyvinyl alcohol having carboxylate groups and 500-1,500 degree of polymerization in an amount of 0.2-2.0 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of the whole pigment, respectively.
