PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter opening or closing device of a fertilizer spreader, wherein an operated shutter (b) is surely moved to a set aperture position and accurately stopped to precisely give the set aperture, when a gear plate 4 is driven with a driving motor M to operate an operation plate 2, thereby sliding the shutter to change the aperture of the shutter (b) to a desired changed value. SOLUTION: This shutter opening or closing device of the fertilizer spreader is characterized by building-in a reduction gear mechanism G comprising a large diameter gear G1 and a small diameter gear G2 for driving the large diameter gear G1 between the output shaft 50 of the driving motor M and a gear (g) for driving the gear plate 4, mounting a stopper S integrally connected to the large diameter gear G1 on the toothed plate side of the large diameter gear G1, disposing adjusting holes (c) for inserting a stopper pin SP for joining to the stopper S disposed on the gear G1 to stop the rotation of the gear G1 in a case C disposed on a machine frame A to receive the reduction gear mechanism G, and inserting the stopper pin SP into one adjusting hole (c) selected from the adjusting pins (c).
