<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem in a control method of changing a heating capacity based on a residual quantity of hot water, wherein the heating capacity is not increased unless the residual quantity of hot water is a predetermined value or less even if the residual quantity of hot water suddenly decreases because a hot water supply load is large, causing a delay in taking a measure to secure the residual quantity of hot water, thereby needing to give an allowance to the capacity of a hot water storage tank so as not to be out of hot water, and as a result, enlarging the capacity of the hot water storage tank. <P>SOLUTION: The heating operation of a heat pump heat source 22 is performed by a heating capacity corresponding to the detected hot water supply load. The discharge of high temperature water in the hot water storage tank 22 can thereby be minimized. Further, the heating capacity is increased while limiting the hot water discharge temperature of the heat pump heat source 22.
