<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus which can easily and integrally or individually attach/detach a plurality of detachable units to/from the main body of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An intermediate transfer device 10 supported by a left guide rail 45 and a right guide rail can be attached to/detached from the main body of the image forming apparatus. A cleaning device 15 for cleaning an intermediate transfer belt of the intermediate transfer device is supported by an upper rail 49 and a lower rail 50 so as to be attachable to/detachable from the intermediate transfer device 10.
