<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector for a printed wiring board prevented from soldering crack caused by external force at a soldering part of the lead part of each contact, by having a metal shell covering the housing effectively absorb such external force as prying and bending received by a connector main body protruding from an equipment main body. <P>SOLUTION: Of the connector 1 for the printed wiring board, with its insulation housing 2 having a plurality of contacts 3 arrayed in parallel covered with a metal shell, with lead parts 3c of the contacts 3 extended from rear end parts of the insulation housing 2 to be soldered and connected to the printed wiring board 30, and with the connector main body 1a protruded from the printed wiring board 30, is provided with support leg parts 16 extended downward from both side plates 12a of a metal shell 4 in the vicinity of the lead parts 3c and soldered to the printed wiring board 30, and sub support pieces 17 to be soldered to the printed wiring board 30 at lower end edges of the both side plates 12a of the metal shell 4 adjacent to front sides of the support leg parts 16. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
