PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve train for an internal combustion engine having a simple constitution ensuring a correct and trouble-free operation of the valve. SOLUTION: A housing 12 having a hollow part 11 is fixed in a cylinder head 101, and an intake valve 109 is passed through the hollow part 11. A partition member 13 is fixed to the intake valve 109, thus the hollow part 11 is imparted by the partition member 13 into up and down two chambers 14, 15. The chambers 14, 15 are allowed to communicate with each other through a communication path 16. A variable viscosity magnetic fluid is filled in the hollow part 11 (chambers 14, 15) so that an electromagnet 17 can exert magnetic force thereto. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
