PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lock device easily discriminable from a user that it is in an idle hooked state and enabling an increase in operability and a fitting. SOLUTION: When locking operation is performed in a non-closed state where screens 2 and 3 are not closed, the projected part 163 of a detection member 16 is rotated to a position beyond the contact position of the projected part 163 of the detection member 16 on a lock receiver. Accordingly, it is detected that the lock receiver is not at an engageable position, the movement of an operating member 15 is restricted by the fitting of the lock pin 164 of the detection member 16 to the recessed groove 157 of the operating member 15, and a crescent lock 11 can be prevented from being idle hooked. When the locking operation is stopped at the detected position, since the operating member 15 and a hook lock 14 are automatically returned to an unlocked state by the energizing force of a coiled spring 18, it can be easily discriminated from the user that the lock device is in the idle hooked state and the operability can be increased.
