PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scaffold device for construction and demolition of a tower-like building capable of constructing efficiently and inexpensively without using a large-size truck crane and selecting a place and to provide a demolition method for the tower-like building by use of this device. SOLUTION: This scaffold device is provided with a curing scaffold 10 having a multi-story layer structure using a frame having predetermined height, a supporting frame 20 for suspension provided at an upper end of the curing scaffold 10, a plurality of fixed vertical members 21, 21, etc. whose upper ends are fixed to the supporting frame 20 for suspension, a vertical member 22 for expansion and contraction connected with the vertical member 21 so as to move relatively in the vertical direction, and an elevating driving unit for moving the vertical member 22 for expansion and contraction forcedly and relatively in the vertical direction for the fixed vertical member 21. The vertical member 22 for expansion and contraction can elevate and lower while the supporting frame 20 for suspension is supported at the upper end of the curing scaffold 10. The vertical member 22 for expansion and contraction is supported on a story layer part being lower than the uppermost part of the curing scaffold 10 to elevate and lower the fixed vertical member 21 together with the supporting frame 20 for suspension.
