PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a mud scatter preventing device for an excavator which prolongs the life and reduces the cost. SOLUTION: The mud scatter preventing device 1, which prevents the mud coming from an excavating rod 5 from scattering when the excavator 4 excavating the ground is in operation, comprises a skeleton 2 built up on a lower part bracing member 9 arranged near the ground, and a mesh cover sheet 3 mounted on an outer face of the skeleton 2 in a manner of covering the side of the part which is not the operator's seat of the excavator 4.
