PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a log and a column for a log house and its assembly method capable of solving problems blowing rain and wind from a gap produced between the log material and the column material and gaps of log materials piled up in the vertical direction and getting loose clamping bolts, etc. with the deterioration or the contraction of the log caused by rain and wind and rain water. SOLUTION: In building members used for the log house forming a wall surface by inserting a panel consisting of a plurality of logs between a plurality of columns and corner columns, a hollow embedding a buried washer based nut has in a notched groove of each log made as a partition panel, and the column having a plurality of through-holes enabling horizontal through bolts to pass through from each log as the panel for an exterior wall adjacent to the hollow and the log and the column for the log house having a nut clamping hole enabling the horizontal through bolt to pass through the column are provided inside of the log forming each panel.
