PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a commodity processing system capable of preventing a packaged commodity before boxing it, the uninspected packaged commodity or the like from remaining in the commodity processing system when a kind is switched by a cost comparable to a conventional case. SOLUTION: The commodity processing system 1 is equipped with a metering apparatus 2, a packaging apparatus 3, packaged commodity processing apparatuses 4 and 5, a stop informing signal transmitting means 31, one stopping button 617 and a controlling part 62. The metering apparatus 2 meters a specified amount of a commodity and discharges it. The packaging apparatus 3 packages a specified amount of the commodity to prepare a packaged commodity B. The packaged commodity processing apparatuses 4 and 5 process the packaged commodity B. The stop informing signal transmitting means 31 transmits a stop informing signal when the packaging apparatus 3 truns stopped. The controlling part 62 transmits a signal for stopping the packaging apparatus 3 when the stopping button 617 is pushed, and transmits a signal for stopping the metering apparatus 2 after the stop informing signal is received, and furthermore thereafter, transmits a signal for stopping the packaged commodity processing apparatuses 4 and 5.
