<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a non-mercury type analogue sphygmomanometer permitting easy measurement of blood pressure as a conventional mercury sphygmomanometer and very easy reading of the highest blood pressure value and the lowest blood pressure value without using mercury columns for measuring the pressure at all. <P>SOLUTION: The sphygmomanometer comprises an analogue blood pressure display device 2 with a pressure display device 22 structured to emit light as a dot or a line at each scale mark, and a pressure reversal detection device 10 for detecting the reversal of variation of cuff internal pressure and outputting the detection as a highest blood pressure signal and a lowest blood pressure signal. The pressure display device 22 is controlled so that the pressure is displayed with emitted light as a bar graph of the length corresponding to the cuff internal pressure, while only the dot-shaped or line-shaped light emission is present in the scale marks corresponding to the highest blood pressure signal and lowest blood pressure signal outputted from the pressure reversal detection device 10 when the light is put out according to the decline of the cuff internal pressure in the measurement of blood pressure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
