<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly hermetic pipe joint materializing extremely simple connecting work only by fastening a clamp bolt, which employed as a pipe joint for a gas pipe or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A pipe joint is composed of a clamp bolt 1 in which an annular metal packing 10 is integrally provided to a tip, a hollow cylindrical joint body 2 and a sleeve body 3 internally fitted to the joint body. The clamp bolt 1 is connected to a coupling 4 for piping with the sleeve body 3 inserted inside the joint body 2. A tapered part 30 brought into contact with the metal packing 10 is provided to the inside of the sleeve body 3. When fastening the clamp bolt 1, the metal packing 10 fastens a pipe A by being press-fitted in the tapered part while rotating through screw engagement, and obstructs the rotation by frictional resistance deriving from press-fit and advancement to the inside of the tapered part.
