COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND METHOD USING HETEROGENEOUS NEIGHBOR BASE STATION INFORMATION IN BROADBAND RADIO ACCESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for constituting a public message of neighbor base station information to be broadcast periodically in a serving base station and a communication method using the same in a broadband radio access communication system wherein the serving base station is present for periodically broadcasting the neighbor base station information of a mobile subscriber terminal.

SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a communication method using neighbor base station information in a broadband radio access communication system, wherein a serving base station includes the steps of: collecting information on a neighbor base station; determining presence/absence of a heterogeneous communication system through the collected information; including information on the heterogeneous communication system in the neighbor base station information public message if the heterogeneous communication system is present in accordance with a result; and broadcasting the neighbor base station information public message to a mobile subscriber terminal, and the subscriber terminal includes a step of identifying the presence/absence of the heterogeneous system through the message if the neighbor base station information public message is received from the serving base station.
