PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized imaging apparatus employing a pixel shift means. SOLUTION: The small-sized imaging apparatus includes: an imaging element for applying photoelectric conversion to incident light from an object; and the pixel shift means for shifting the incident light on the face of the imaging element, and the pixel shift means includes: a fixed electrode board including a plurality of fixed electrodes to which a voltage is applied and fixed to the small-sized imaging element; and a light transmission board moving part comprising a moving side electrode board having a plurality of moving side electrodes made of a semiconductor and arranged at positions opposed to the fixed electrodes and a light transmission board which is joined to the moving side electrode board and through which the incident light passes, and the small-sized imaging apparatus is provided, wherein the incident light is shifted on the face of the imaging device by the shift of an optical axis of the incident light through the tilted light transmission board by the electromagnetic interaction between the fixed electrodes and the moving side electrode part.
