PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stream reproducing device which is capable of operating two decoders fully so as to use them effectively in a case where AV streams cut by an edit are reproduced in seamless streams without producing a sense of incongruity when the AV streams are switched. SOLUTION: A prior image is displayed on a large screen just before a switching operation takes place while the image of a picture-in-picture stream is displayed in a still picture on a small screen, and images after a switching operation takes place are displayed on the large screen while the images of the picture-in-picture stream are displayed on the small screen.
