PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an organic-inorganic composite material which improves the impact resistance of a hydrogen bonding resin by inorganic particles. SOLUTION: The thermoplastic organic-inorganic composite material comprises a layer structure obtained by condensing a hydrogen bonding resin, an alkoxysilane represented by formula (1) (wherein R<SB>1</SB>is an organic group which substantially does not react with the hydrogen bonding resin; and R<SB>2</SB>is an organic group) and at least one metallic compound selected from a metal halide, an organometallic compound, and a metal alkoxide (wherein the metal is at least one kind selected from Mg, Al, Ni, Co, Ti, Cu, Mn, Fe, and Li).
