PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide optical glass having a high refractive index, which is required for obtaining a lens having a larger numerical aperture. SOLUTION: The optical glass contains, by mol, 25-57% B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 5-25% ZnO, 5-30% La<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1-20% Ga<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, 1-15% of TiO<SB>2</SB>+ WO<SB>3</SB>, 0-15% Li<SB>2</SB>O, 0-20% GeO<SB>2</SB>, 0-20% TeO<SB>2</SB>, 0-10% Ta<SB>2</SB>O<SB>5</SB>, 0-20% of ZrO<SB>2</SB>+ In<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+ Y<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+ Gd<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, and 30-60% of B<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>+ GeO<SB>2</SB>, or the optical glass has a glass transition point of≤600°C.
