<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a conventional constitution of a ceiling embedded air conditioner that the contact of a drain pan with a power supply cable causes the degradation of the drain pan because the material of the drain pan is generally styrene foam and the surface material of the power supply cable extended from an electric equipment box is vinyl chloride. <P>SOLUTION: The ceiling embedded air conditioner comprises a box-shaped air conditioner body storing a heat exchanger, a blower, and the drain pan for covering the lower surface of the heat exchanger, and a decoration panel mounted to the lower surface of the air conditioner body. The electric equipment box is arranged between the drain pan and the decoration panel, and formed of an electric equipment box body and a lid body. The electric equipment box has a substantially U-shaped notch for passing the power supply cable at the side wall of the electric equipment box body, and has an outer end extending outward from the side wall of the electric equipment box body so that the lid body covers the substantially U-shaped notch. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
