<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the utilization efficiency of backlight polarization of a liquid crystal panel, by specifying the composition and polarization of a light-emitting diode element used as the light source of backlight. <P>SOLUTION: After emitting an emitting light 4 as a diffusion light emitted from a light-emitting diode element 3 fixed on an adhesion support film 2 which is guided in the inside of a light guide plate 1, the emitted light 4 is raised in the direction of a liquid crystal panel through a reverse prism sheet 5 where prisms are formed on the reverse surface of a liquid crystal panel 8, passed through a diffusion film 6 and used as the backlight of the crystal panel. The light 4 of backlight enters in parallel with the polarization penetration direction of a polarizing plate 7 established in the back side of liquid crystal panel 8, passes through a liquid crystal panel 8 and is exits from a polarizing plate 9 by the opposite side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
