<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly supply a power for traveling to a motor MG2 when an engine is started and suppress vibration caused by the operation of the engine in a hybrid car in which the engine, a motor MG1, and a drive shaft are connected to a planetary gear mechanism and the motor MG2 is connected to the drive shaft. <P>SOLUTION: A target rotational speed Nset is set so that a rotational speed becomes smaller as an accelerator opening Acc is increased (S130), and the engine is monitored so that the rotational speed Ne of the engine becomes the target rotational speed Nset (S150 to S260).
