<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an LED element with high luminance, high color purity, and a long life. <P>SOLUTION: A light-emitting device comprises a light-emitting portion 2, a first fluorescent layer 3 containing an inorganic fluorophor 3b provided on the light-emitting portion 2, and a second fluorescent layer 4 containing an organic phosphor 4b provided on the first fluorescent layer 3. An organic phosphor layer 4b is spaced from the light-emitter 2 through the inorganic fluorophor 3b, and therefore both the characteristics of the inorganic fluorophor 3b and organic phosphor layer 4b can be utilized while preventing the deterioration of the organic phosphor layer 4b. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
