<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrical connector wherein an actuator is automatically closed if a flat flexible cable is inserted in it with the actuator opened. <P>SOLUTION: This opening and closing type actuator 2 is equipped with an actuator body part 21, a rotatable actuator operating part 22, and actuator protruding piece parts 23 protruding at both end parts of the actuator operating part 22. The contact beam 31 of a contact piece 3 is structured so that it abuts on the actuator operating part 22 when opening the actuator 2, it has ductility causing deformation by pressing force acting from the actuator operating part 22, and it also has restoring force acting so as to return the actuator 2 to its closed state. It is also structured so that the flat flexible cable C is pushed in by making the front part of the flat flexible cable C abut on the actuator protruding piece part 23 with the actuator 2 opened, and thereby it rotates the actuator operating part 22 to close the actuator 2. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
