摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuously variable transmission with a roller spline portion having improved torque transmission performance by eliminating the need for a snap ring to reduce the number of components and assembling man-hours. SOLUTION: A fixed sheave 11a is integrally formed on a pulley shaft 10, and a movable sheave 11b is supported on the pulley shaft 10 via the roller spline portion 13 in an axially movable and integrally rotatable manner. The roller spline portion 13 has an axial spline groove 13a formed in the outer peripheral face of the pulley shaft 10, an axial spline groove 13b formed in the inner peripheral face of the movable sheave 11b, and a roller 14 slidably arranged between both spline grooves. The spline groove 13a is machined by a milling cutter. In the terminal end of the spline groove 13a, a perpendicular groove 13d is formed which is wide enough to remove an R-face 13c at the terminal end of the spline groove.
