PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce wear of rocker shaft by reducing cocking of a rocker arm. SOLUTION: In this variable valve system, two rocker arms are rockably and pivotally attached side by side by inserting the rocker shaft through an insertion hole provided on both of the rocker arms and both of the rocker arms are connected and separated. A cylindrical sleeve 12 is projected and formed on an opening periphery part of a first insertion through hole 13 of one of a first rocker arm 11, an inner circumference surface of the sleeve 12 is made as an extension part of the insertion through hole 13, a second insertion through hole 18 of another of a second rocker arm 16 is extended and the sleeve 12 is inserted between the insertion hole 18 and the rocker shaft 10.
