PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To join a sill to a footing so that sufficient tensile resistance is exerted without the drilling of the continuous footing. SOLUTION: In this sill reinforcing structure 1, an aramid fiber sheet 4 as a fiber sheet, which is laid like a saddle from above the sill 3 placed on the upper surface of the continuous footing 2, is bonded to the outdoor-side and indoor-side lateral surfaces 5a and 5b of the continuous footing 2 and an upper surface of the sill 3. Desirably, the sheet 4 is bonded to the vicinity of a column 6 which is newly erected on the sill 3 so that extension and reconstruction can be performed. As shown in Fig., the sheets 4 are inserted into a space which is surrounded by the sill 3, floor joists 7 and 7 and a floor slab 8 on the first floor, so as to be arranged in desired numbers according to need. In the Fig., the sheets are arranged in two places on each of both the sides of the column 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
