PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure sufficient adhesive strength without enlarging the distal end of an endoscope. SOLUTION: This cover glass is provided with a first face made to abut on an object and a second flat face positioned on the back side of the first face, and the second face is formed with a central area including at least an effective diameter to be optically effective and a circumferential area having a coarser surface than that of the central area.
