Stable concentrated solutions of basic dyes contain a salt of a basic dyestuff derived from a water soluble mineral or carboxylic acid, an alcohol which is solid at room temperature and soluble in water, or a water soluble derivative thereof that is solid at room temperature, or a water soluble carboxylic acid amide or a nitrile that is solid at room temperature or a water soluble lactam or a lactone that is soluble at room temperature or a water soluble internal ether that is solid at room temperature. The alcohol is preferably a polyhydric alcohol, and the acid is preferably an aliphatic mono- or dicarboxylic acid.</p> |
